Release notes 1.0
What is included
- Whop Payments, for card payments, saved cards, and WHMCS's own automatic collection.
- Whop Checkout, for one-time embedded payments using whichever methods Whop offers.
- Shared Sandbox and Live connection settings, with a webhook that WHMCS sets up and repairs by itself.
- Shared 3D Secure settings for new-card payments and for saving a card without paying, each with its own default.
- Optional local currency quotes in Whop Checkout, off by default, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay express checkout where available.
- Native WHMCS recording of invoices, credit, transactions and fees.
- Full and partial refunds, automatic syncing of refunds made in Whop, and diagnostics for a refund that is delayed or fails.
- Staff notices for disputes and Resolution Center cases, the place inside Whop where a buyer raises a problem with a payment, with configurable notification rules.
- Whop balance widgets on the WHMCS Home dashboard and Transactions page, plus native diagnostic logs.
Tested platforms
This version was tested on WHMCS 8.13.7, 9.0.7 and 9.0.8, all running PHP 8.3.
Good to know
- The September 2026 Sandbox walkthrough could complete payments but could not save a reusable card. See the current card-save troubleshooting steps before enabling automatic collection.
- The module does not import cards or subscriptions from other payment gateways.
- Whop Checkout never saves a card for future use.
- A 3D Secure setting is a request to the processor, not a guarantee that a challenge screen appears.
- The nine whole-unit currencies (CLP, COP, JPY, KRW, MGA, PYG, RWF, VND and XOF) refund in full only, never partially.
- Disputes are handled inside Whop. WHMCS only adds a private note for your staff.
Reporting your version
